The cottage is accessed by a pathway and a gate in an old flint wall. There are steps up to the garden and again into the house and being a period building this is not suitable for those of restricted mobility.
Through the arch you step up into a southward-facing garden framed by trees at the bottom, beyond which is a small stream behind a fence. Also in the garden there is a set of table and benches for al fresco dining.
The cottage is at the end of a row of period houses which offer a more peaceful location than the main street but with the advantage of adjacent access to the street in South Harting.
There is ample on-street parking in South Harting village, accessed by a pedestrian pathway from the cottage.
Inside the cottage you will find a kitchen which includes an oven, hob, counter-top dishwasher and fridge-freezer for self-catering. The dining table seats up to six adults and there is plenty of comfortable seating in the sitting room which has a cosy log-burner and a TV.
There is a small conservatory off the kitchen, ideal for a quiet coffee overlooking the garden.
Wi-Fi broadband is included in the rental, together with BT TV and oil-fired central heating.
Upstairs, you will find a large family bedroom with one kingsize bed and an additional day bed. The second bedroom has a double bed and there is a bathroom on this floor featuring a bath and shower over. The cottage sleeps 4 to 5 people in total.
